The rules of
the channel.

By using LocalStream (watchlocalstream.tv) you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and direct.

1. Who we are

LocalStream is a free, ad-supported local streaming channel for Houston, TX. Operated by Juan Moreno. Contact: hello@watchlocalstream.tv.

2. Watching the channel

The live channel is free to watch. No account required. We don't track you. You can watch as much or as little as you want.

3. Creator terms

If you apply to become a creator and we approve you, the following applies:

• You retain ownership of everything you upload. You're not selling us your work.
• You grant LocalStream a non-exclusive license to broadcast your videos on the channel and on any platform we redistribute it to, for as long as your account is active.
• You confirm you have the rights to everything in your video — music, footage, anyone appearing on camera. If a third party claims you don't, we may pull the video.
• You can withdraw any video by emailing us. We'll remove it from rotation within 7 days.
• You can close your creator account any time by emailing us. We'll stop airing your content within 7 days.
• Content we won't air: hate speech, sexually explicit material, doxxing, real-life violence, content that depicts minors in any sexualized way, content that incites violence, copyright-infringing material. We may reject any submission without explanation.

4. Creator payouts

• Creators earn based on viewer-minutes — duration aired × average concurrent viewers. The per-viewer-minute rate is set monthly based on advertiser revenue. See the creator portal for the full breakdown.
• Payouts are sent at the start of each month via Stripe Connect to the bank account you connect.
• You're responsible for your own taxes. Stripe automatically issues a 1099-NEC on our behalf to any U.S. creator whose annual payouts exceed the IRS threshold ($600 currently). Stripe collects your W-9 when you connect your bank account, files with the IRS, and delivers your copy electronically — you don't need to do anything.
• If we don't reach a payout threshold of $25 in a month, the balance rolls forward.

5. Advertiser terms

• Ads are sold on a monthly recurring basis. You can cancel any time before the next billing cycle.
• Ad approval: we reserve the right to refuse any ad that violates Section 3's content rules, makes unverifiable health claims, or targets minors.
• Refunds: we'll prorate refunds if we fail to deliver the contracted number of spots in a given month.
• Ads only run on the Main Channel. Any future channels stay ad-free.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break the site, scrape data, abuse the upload system, or interfere with other users. We may block your access without notice if you do.

7. Disclaimers

LocalStream is provided "as is." We try hard to keep the channel running but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We're not liable for any losses from downtime, content removal, or business decisions you make based on the channel.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in Harris County, TX.
